Upgrading Your KIOTI® K9 UTV
The KIOTI K9 UTV series is specifically designed to be the perfect machine for landowners. However, there are ways in which you can further improve your machine to make it even more useful. Tires
The tires that come with your KIOTI K9 UTV are built for work. They’ll handle just about any terrain and power through even some of the most difficult obstacles. But standard UTV tires are commonly built to handle semi-compact dirt and provide the kind of performance that works for most owners.
Most, but not all. Depending on your land or your work, you might need something more specific. Looser materials require a different kind of tire, for terrain like sand or gravel, and you might be looking for tires that provide a different kind of performance. KIOTI® offers the option of Heavy Duty Worksite, Turf, All Terrain, and Tomahawk tires to adapt to different needs, but if these aren’t enough, you’ll want to do a little research to figure out what you’re looking for and how you can find it.
Intake
If you’re picky about performance, we’ve got a few great tips for you. One way to boost power and speed is to increase the airflow through the engine. It’s one of the less expensive upgrades on this list, too.
This upgrade can take a few different forms. You can upgrade your air filter to avoid limiting airflow. You can also open up the airbox, using a few different methods, most of which are pretty intricate, so you might want to consult a professional. You’ll also want to prevent moisture from entering the intake, so no matter what changes you make, you’ll still want to keep it protected from things like rain and spray.
Exhaust
At the other end of the combustion process, you have the exhaust. Upgrading your exhaust system can also improve performance, especially if you’re increasing the air intake. This can involve changing the entire system or adding a new slip-on. Just make sure the upgrade is compatible with your KIOTI K9 UTV.
Make sure this goes hand-in-hand with your intake upgrade. If your side-by-side isn’t expelling enough exhaust, the engine could backfire.
Options
On top of some of these more common upgrades, there are options that KIOTI offers to help improve your workflow. This can include a rear screen, canopy, and windshield to help keep you protected from all sides.
There are also working lamps for days when you’re working in dark, or even dim lighting. And a remote hydraulic kit will allow you to utilize some of the attachments we mentioned earlier.
